We had our first snow of the season today. Just a light dusting which was enough to make it feel like Christmas. Another ‘first’ in this first year of owning this property. The photo above shows our front yard pond.
We drove to the north end of town today to do some shopping and I couldn’t help but notice how much it was snowing above the University in College Heights, which is our old neighbourhood. One of the reasons we decided to move was because of the weather. That area is just high enough above sea level that it gets pummelled with snow on a regular basis.
After eight years of blizzards and hair raising treks up the hill, I am really interested to go through this season at sea level.
